Goodbye Bafana

(Germany/France/Belgium/Italy/South Africa, 2006, 120 minutes)

In 1960s South Africa, an Afrikaner prison warden is assigned to watch over Nelson Mandela during his captivity, and eventually develops a friendly relationship with him. Well-meaning but dull true story that wastes an interesting premise in rote scripting and handling.
