Paris

(France, 2007, 129 minutes)

A dancer tells his welfare-worker sister he has been diagnosed with a potentially fatal heart condition; she moves into his place with her children to help him cope, as their paths cross a number of other Parisians ill at ease in their skin. Good-looking but rather meandering mosaic melodrama that sidelines its central story to make way for a number of subplots that don't really go anywhere and wastes an excellent ensemble cast in the process.
