Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

European title: Night at the Museum 2

Now a successful entrepreneur, Larry Daley is called by the exhibits of New York's Natural History Museum as they're transferred to the Smithsonian in Washington to help with a new foe awakened by the Egyptian tablet with magical powers. Less of a family adventure and more of a cartoonish action comedy, this sequel is actually a superior movie to the 2006 original despite coming from the exact same creative team, with a number of smart visual gags and a scene-stealing performance from Hank Azaria as a lisping pharaoh.

Twentieth Century-Fox presents a Twenty-One Laps Entertainment/1492 Pictures production; made in association with Dune Entertainment. Starring Ben Stiller; Amy Adams, Owen Wilson, Hank Azaria, Christopher Guest, Alain Chabat, Steve Coogan, Ricky Gervais, Bill Hader, Jon Bernthal; and Robin Williams. Directed by Shawn Levy; produced by Shawn Levy, Chris Columbus, Michael Barnathan; screenplay by Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon; music by Alan Silvestri; director of photography (Technicolor, Panavision), John Schwartzman; production designer, Claude Paré; costume designer, Marlene Stewart; film editors, Don Zimmerman, Dean Zimmerman; visual effects supervisor, Dan de Leeuw.
