LES DERNIERS JOURS DU MONDE

international title, Happy End

France/Spain/Taiwan
2009
135 minutes

As the world hurtles towards apocalypse, an obsessed man travels through France and Spain to find the woman he loved and lost. Strange, interminable combination of gloomy sci-fi, character study and wry comedy, very reminiscent of 1970s dystopian fictions, wasting a superb cast and a disquieting sense of mood in a rather aimless series of events.
